About the role
As a Data Migration Lead, you will be responsible for spearheading the creation, management, and refinement of a standardized data load and migration process tailored specifically for SAP S/4HANA implementations. You will collaborate closely with the client data lead to oversee the Data Migration team, ensuring the efficient identification, extraction, cleansing, mapping, and loading of master and transactional data sets into the SAP system.
Your responsibilities
Lead the creation, management, and refinement of a standardized data load and migration process tailored for SAP S/4 Hanna implementations.
Collaborate with the client data lead to oversee the Data Migration team, ensuring efficient identification, extraction, cleansing, mapping, and loading of master and transactional data sets into the SAP system.
Provide expert guidance on data assessment methodologies and procedures to enhance data quality and accuracy. Assume accountability for ETL design, ensuring alignment with project objectives and standards.
Manage and coordinate data loads into the SAP system, ensuring adherence to timelines and data integrity standards.
Develop custom load programs utilizing ABAP programming or leveraging SAP tools such as LSMW, LTMC, Migration Cockpit, ALE, etc.
Conduct manual data transformation from legacy systems to SAP-compatible formats as required.
Perform manual data loading from legacy systems into the SAP system to supplement automated processes.
Execute automated data loads utilizing SAP or other relevant automated tools to streamline migration efforts.
Collaborate closely with Functional Consultants to verify data accuracy and resolve any anomalies or discrepancies.
You will have
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Extensive experience 6 years in data migration projects with a focus on SAP implementations.
Proficiency in SAP data migration tools such as LSMW, LTMC, Migration Cockpit, ALE, etc.
Strong understanding of ETL processes and methodologies.
Advanced knowledge of ABAP programming for developing custom load programs.
Experience with manual data transformation and loading processes.
Familiarity with automated data migration tools and processes.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Certification in SAP data migration or related areas is a plus.
