About the role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Spring Boot Developer to join our team at the Head Office in Plaza Sentral. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in Spring Boot, Java EE, and database management, who can lead development efforts and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality applications. The ideal candidate will have the ability to guide junior developers, manage complex projects, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Your responsibilities
Technical Documentation: Prepare comprehensive documentation of technical designs and specifications in alignment with business requirements and project standards.
Application Development: Ensure timely and accurate completion of business application coding, adhering to project schedules and quality standards.
Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure that development activities comply with System Development Guidelines and Standards, maintaining the quality of systems developed to meet specifications and user requirements.
Team Collaboration: Maintain constant communication with team members, users, and vendors to facilitate smooth project execution and delivery.
Technology Updates: Stay updated with the latest advancements in computer technology and assess their impact on the business environment.
You will have
Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience
At least 5 years of experience in a related field, with a demonstrated ability to guide and review the work of junior developers.
Experience in leading a team of Angular developers is an added advantage.
Experience in the insurance industry is a plus.
Technical Skills
Programming Skills: Strong proficiency in Spring Boot (mandatory), Spring, and Java EE.
Database Skills: Extensive experience with Oracle Database 11g or higher, PLSQL (mandatory), Postgres, and MongoDB.
Security: Experience in designing application integration security without relying on third-party software.
Server & Cloud Management: Experience with JBOSS server, Tomcat server, and cloud environments, including troubleshooting.
Web Services: Strong knowledge of JSON, RESTful API, and Web Services.
Architecture: Expertise in Microservices Architecture design.
High-Volume Applications: Proven experience in developing enterprise-level, high-volume transactional applications with cross-platform code sharing and cross-browser compatibility, involving end-to-end system integration.
Build Tools: Experience with Maven and CLI build scripts is an added advantage.
DevOps: Familiarity with DevOps tools like Jira and Jenkins is an added advantage.
