About the role
The Senior Warehouse Manager will be responsible for strategic oversight and the broader operational health of the international warehouse. Be able to setting up and managing the entire end-to-end operation of a international warehouse. The Senior Manager will set up optimal processes and practices to ensure that warehouse run smoothly.
Your responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership for planning and managing time and resources effective, assign task appropriately and appraise results.
Build team KPI’s reports and set team goals in collaboration with top management and other team leaders.
Provide directions and guidance to international warehouse subordinates and communicate effectively with stakeholders in establishing daily routine job function and reporting methods.
Determines product handling and storage requirements to develop warehouse operation system. Identify, implements, evaluate and enforces policies and procedures to ensure proper planning and execution of daily operational activities in compliance with SOPs, achieving operation KPIs and meeting operation expectation.
Monitor and control all warehousing and distribution activities to ensure efficiency, accuracy and meeting required lead-time.
Hires and Trains local warehouse teams. Coaches, counsels, schedules and disciplines current warehouse employees as needed by enforcing policies and procedures and implement new project such as warehouse shifting, new warehouse setup, stock take and etc.
Highlight the issues and concerns from the warehouse to the top management and prepare the solutions and system troubleshooting in the respective international warehouse and ensure smooth operation.
Analyze international warehouse distribution performance, capacity vs forecast planning and propose changes in operations.
Foster strong inter-department relations and integrate the warehouse department with the project plans and operations.
Oversee the delivery of projects and making adjustments as necessary to ensure they are delivered to specifications and high standards.
Mentor and support team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Conduct site assessments and risk evaluations to identify and mitigate potential issues before they arise.
Analyze all aspects of warehouse operation costs to determine the most cost effective or efficient.
Able to travel internationally within a short period notice in order to support the new warehouse setup, expansions projects and other miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
You will have
Degree in warehouse/logistics/supply chain management or equivalent.
Minimum 10 years of experience in warehouse managerial position.
Excellent in leadership, analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
Performance Management, Coaching, Supervision, Quality Management, Results Driver, Developing Standards, Foster Teamwork, Handles Pressure, Giving Feedback. Demonstrate ability to lead and manage staff and team members.
Well versed experience in handling different region’s warehouse operation, multiple projects and understanding of international/multi-cultural interactions.
Can contribute ideas and suggestions to team members.
Able to identify the areas where change of process or procedure can benefit our warehouse operation.
Prior experience with a bonded warehouse is a plus.
Good Communication skills, both written and verbal in English.
Performs other duties as assigned.
