About the role
We are seeking a Thunderhead Developer to join our team at our Head Office in Plaza Sentral, Kuala Lumpur. This is a contract position, and the ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in reporting and output management tools, specifically Thunderhead.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining technical documentation, ensuring timely completion of business applications, and collaborating with both frontend and backend developers. You should have a solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, experience with Agile methodologies, and the ability to guide junior developers.
Your responsibilities
Template Development: Design, build, and maintain high-quality Thunderhead templates across OTC Derivatives and Structured Securitization products.
Release Management: Manage Thunderhead release cycles, including coordinating regression testing to ensure smooth deployments.
UAT Testing: Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on applications linked to Thunderhead templates to ensure accurate functionality and compliance with requirements.
RPA Development: Develop and implement RPA solutions using UiPath Orchestrator, UiPath Studio, and other UiPath products.
System Integration: Integrate RPA solutions with other systems and applications, utilizing APIs, databases, and other relevant technologies.
Technical Support: Provide technical expertise in XML/XSLT, SQL, Java Scripting, and programming languages such as .NET/C#, VBScript, and Python.
Cross-Asset Experience: Apply your knowledge of Cross Asset FX/Derivatives in a global financial institution to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of the developed solutions.
Business Process Understanding: Leverage your understanding of front-to-back business processes in OTC & Securitized derivative products to enhance template design and implementation.
You will have
Educational Background:
A Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
At least 3 years of experience in Reporting/Output Management.
Ability to guide and review the code of junior developers.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of reporting tools like Jasper, Crystal Reports, and Thunderhead.
Proficiency in writing compatible code and using data interchange formats like JSON or XML.
Experience in creating component-based reusable and testable modules and pages.
Experience with Maven build scripts for manual deployment from SIT to production, and Jenkins for automated deployment.
Methodologies:
Familiarity with Agile development, particularly the SCRUM methodology.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
Highly adaptable with the ability to quickly learn new skills.
A team player with excellent communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Additional Skills:
Experience with backend technologies such as Java, DB2/Oracle databases, and SQL programming, including PLSQL.
Experience in the insurance industry is an added advantage.
