Our client is a reputable mobile tech business with a robust presence across APAC regions such as Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Vietnam, Thailand, as well as the UK. Their core mission revolves around maximizing affordability while minimizing e-waste, with a visionary goal of creating a cleaner tomorrow through their core business offering.

About the role

As the Head of Sales, you'll report directly to the CEO and hold a leadership role overseeing a team of 20 or more individuals across various markets. You will also be responsible for managing your own business unit P&L. To succeed in this role, you must have strategic commercial acumen for developing B2B roadmap succession plans. Additionally, you should also be comfortable taking a hands-on approach to execution and leading by example from the top down.

Your responsibilities

  • Leadership: Leading a high performing B2B sales team across different markets by developing a proper structure/process on the full sales cycle in ensuring that everyone has the capability to do their personal hunting and farming independently.

  • Commercial: As you’ll have P&L responsibility, you need to know how to properly conduct projections on monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals with proper understanding and exposure of what directly/indirectly contributes to the P&L numbers.

  • Risk Management: Distinguish between high-quality and subpar products, leveraging sound judgment and rigorous evaluation methods. Ensure that stakeholder expectations are effectively managed by aligning internal quality standards with external perceptions and demands.

  • Product knowledge: Having a solid understanding of the market intelligence and continuously enhancing existing channel partner while developing new strategic channels.

  • Negotiation: Have done personal research with intricate knowledge of market pricing dynamics for each product, leveraging established relationships to foster mutually beneficial outcomes that optimize value for both the company and its partners/suppliers.

  • Sales Funnel: Orchestrate the entire sales and procurement journey, from initiating leads to finalizing transactions, while prioritizing effective engagement with key stakeholders through proactive outreach and responsive inbound strategies across all phases of the sales funnel.

You will have

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience and must have B2B experience in electronics vertical in multinational, e-commerce or recommerce industry.

  • Proven track record of managing P&L exceeding $25 million, with consistent year-on-year growth.

  • Exceptional proficiency in P&L metrics and financial analysis.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience, managing a team of over 10 individuals directly.

  • Comfortable navigating ambiguous environments and adept at maneuvering in a scale-up setting.

  • Strong communication skills, capable of effectively conveying complex ideas to C-suite stakeholders through both written and verbal channels.

  • Adaptable to switch between analytical, commercial, consulting, and sales as required by situational demands.

  • Proficiency in Cantonese/Chinese would be highly advantageous, given oversight of the Hong Kong and Taiwan regions.
